Taos Green Guide 2008: WATER

The State of New Mexico named 2007 the Year of Water.

The Taos Green Guide 2008 will look back at water policy enacted over the year and how it will affect our future. The Green Guide will also explore the benefits of rainwater harvesting systems and how they work. We’ll examine cutting edge wastewater filtering and reuse and explore the broader issues surrounding water quality in our region. The Rio Grande will have a star role, as it always has for New Mexico. From geothermal heating to acequias, wildlife and recreation to the impacts of development on the privatization of this essential element for life, the Taos Green Guide on water will be a publication readers keep to share with visitors and for an almanac of water in the new century.
