Taos Green Guide
In 2005, Sustain Taos published the first annual Taos Green Guide for Sustainable Living. The 2005 and 2006 editions were such a great success that we are now preparing the 2007 edition for publication this October. The 2007 edition will focus on "Land Use," an important subject in the Taos area and northern New Mexico. We will print 20,000 copies of the 2007 Taos Green Guide in early October, and distribute them at the Bioneers conference in October and free during the next year in Taos and the surrounding area.
This publication serves the community in several ways.
- It offers valuable exposure to the successful, independent businesses in our community that are involved in renewable energy, green construction, organic farming, and other green products and services.
- It includes contact information for the many government agencies and non-profit organizations in the Taos area and throughout New Mexico that are involved in environmental, energy, and sustainability issues.
Call for cover art for the 2008 Green Guide front cover:
After three years of Ed Sandoval's colorful and delightful art gracing the front cover of the Green Guide, we' like to open this opportunity to other artists. Any medium is acceptable; photographs, acrylic, watercolors, etc. The theme for 2008 is Water. Please submit your artwork by January 15, 2007 to Sustain Taos, PO Box 7001, Taos NM 87571.
